Linda, the Irish Family Ancestry Detective has now been doing research on the family for 12 years!!

Our family heritage from Germany to Ireland and even Spain is full of amazing findings during my research!  Cheers and as the Irish say...

In what could only be described as a very difficult and challenging woman, Florence soon showed her true colors.

She began to misappropriate the household funds, using the money given to her for other purposes all the while attacking Frederick with abusive words and cruelty. describing all policemen as bums as shown in this newspaper article above.

After twelve years, Frederick had had enough of a loveless marriage. With enough evidence on his side, Frederick was granted a divorce in December of 1908. Florene was granted full custody of Madeline and Anita.

Florence passed away on September 16, 1909

These two historic photos of Frederick come from the collection of my distant cousin Sandra of Texas. This was her grandfather who was the older brother of our Great/Grandpa Charles Cook!

Sitting proudly upon his horse, Frederick's work as policeman began in 1907 and it would not be long before he would be promoted to Corporal.

Many articles in the San Francisco newspapers would describe his wonderful dedication to both his job and the public!

In/around 1910 Frederick would meet his second wife Elizabeth Marion Gibbons.
